The little things in life!

Each and every day we are blessed with another amazing opportunity to wake up, dive into our day head first , and experience this amazing opportunity we call life!  The trick here is to remember what it's all about!   We all get so busy with what's going on in the world.... what's on the news, what our kids need, what's on that to do list that never stops growing and that thing called WORK... Oh yeah, the one that can bog us down and occupy much of our waking lives.

Each morning at Seeking Indigo we start our day with a little pause to reflect on the mandala created for that day, to remember what our purpose is, our intention for that day, and what we can do to spread a little joy to those that will cross our paths along the way.

Although the Mandala tradition was borrowed from Bali, we have embraced it as something near and dear to our hearts and this week it reminds me so much of a beautiful spring morning in Charleston.  Thank you Erin for your amazing talent and for making this a daily part of our lives at Seeking Indigo.

 

 

Mandala Mantra: To Dream

This week's intention is to keep dreaming, and to remember at all times that anything is possible. Always follow your heart and do what makes you happy, then see what possibilities unfold. It all starts with a dream, so take the first step to make your dreams come true: think big, and then, BELIEVE!

March is here.....set your intention..... it's time to spring clean!

Spring is quickly approaching and many of life's little gifts are gracing us with their presence.  Spring is about cleaning, clearing and  renewal.    It's time to re-evaluate, to look inside and see what your heart desires.   

In the center of the Seeking Indigo  lies a beautiful water filled offering basin from Indonesia where every morning we set our intention for the day.  Here the clearing and releasing of all that  doesn't serve us begins.....  Erin, our keeper of sacred spaces, creates a beautiful new mandala of flowers , a balinese  tradition that reminds us to slow down and smell the roses, to honor the body, calm the mind and reinvigorate the soul.

We invite you to join us this month to take part in many different opportunities to do just that.  Take a class at our wellness bar and learn how you can balance your dosha, stop in on a Monday night at 7 to try your hand at living meditation, join in our 21 day cleanse that begins on Wed March 2 or check out one of the wellness samplers or specials this month where you can explore the many different modalities at Seeking Indigo to assist in balancing the mind/body and spirit.

What are you grateful for?

 With each day that passes at Seeking Indigo, we are reminded of the amazing power of this vision. We are inspired to push harder, reflect more and, in the midst of our creation bliss, stop and remember that the power of Seeking Indigo is not in just one of us; it is all. From our staff to our business colleagues to our amazing customers. 

We give tours of our Wellness Center every day. Behind the ancient hand-carved Indonesian wooden doors lies a vast space brimming with health and wellness. It was the last tour of the day. A lady asked if she could be escorted back to see what was behind the doors, and I gladly agreed. The doors opened, we stepped inside and all of a sudden she stopped. She turned and quickly walked out. At first I was a little miffed by what was happening, but then I could see she was searching a bit frantically for her significant other. She grabbed his hand and dragged him to me. 

We entered the space again, and with wide eyes he said, "Wow, this is amazing.. it is so beautiful." She turns to both of us and replied, "Yes it is, but I want you to close your eyes. I don't want you to look at it. I want you to breathe it in and FEEL the space." 

At that moment I closed my eyes with the strangers and stood there for a long time. It felt incredible to breathe in this creation that each and every one of you have contributed to, just by walking in and revering the space. It is powerful. It is healing. It is magical and the only reason is because we give it meaning. We are so grateful for each one that walks in door and experiences Seeking Indigo--not just sees it or buys something but really takes an experience home with them to share with others. We are thankful and humbled that our Wellness Center is powerful and moves people just walking in the door. Magical.

A Theory of Everything

Have you ever wanted to know everything? Have you ever wanted to know the secrets of the universe? What if it was possible to read and retain every major work in history, be it literature, science, politics, religion etc.? What if you had the capacity and concentration to practice and master methods to traverse all of the states of consciousness: gross, subtle, causal, and non-dual?
